"Folding Chair" is a song orginally composed, performed, recorded and released by Regina Spektor. The song was first performed live on 2003-08-19 at Sin-é in New York. "Folding Chair" was peformed periodically between 2003 and 2005 berfore reemerging in 2008 and 2009 in the lead up to its official release.
"Folding Chair" was first released on the EP Laughing With EP on 2009-06-09. Shortly thereafter, the song was also released on the LP Far on 2009-06-21. After its release, "Folding Chair" would go on to be regularly featured during live performances. Two of these performances were officially recorded and released, first on the EP iTunes Live from Soho, released in 2009, and the LP Live in London, released in 2010.
