Regina Spektor reflects on her journey as a musician, from leaving behind her beloved piano in Moscow when she emigrated to the U.S. at age nine to curating her 20-year catalog for a Broadway residency. She shares insights on how different pianos affect her performances and songwriting, and how she enjoys the variety in playing various pianos. Spektor also discusses the process of revisiting older songs, some of which still resonate, while others no longer feel right. The interview touches on her collaboration for Orange Is the New Black and her evolving public persona. Spektor performs her songs "Carbon Monoxide", "Prisoners", and "Somedays".
